Bill Laing-Bennett, MNAEA

Sales Director Known as Bill, he brings over 25 years of local estate agency experience. After working with several independent firms, he returned to his home village of Lyminge in 2009 to launch Laing Bennett. Bill now leads the sales department, carrying out market appraisals and guiding transactions smoothly to completion. A Member of the NAEA with a Level 3 Technical Award, he also serves as Honorary Secretary of the Folkestone, Hythe & District Association of Property Professionals.

Ian Laing-Bennett, BSc/Ed (Hons)

Operations Director Ian co‑founded Laing Bennett with Bill in 2009 after beginning his career as a secondary school teacher. He now oversees the day‑to‑day business accounts and leads the development of our internal systems. Ian supports both the Sales and Lettings teams, manages our Lettings accounts. His blend of organisational expertise and hands‑on involvement ensures the smooth running of the business and consistent support for the team.

Rob Laing, MARLA

Lettings Director Rob, a Director of Laing Bennett, joined in 2012 and before that, he ran his own property business for over a decade. Born and raised in Lyminge, he’s now raising his own family in the village. Rob leads our Lettings team, applying extensive building and property knowledge to manage our portfolio. He is an ARLA Member and holds a Level 3 Technical Award in Residential Letting & Property Management.

Rachel Boulden, ANAEA

Head of Sales Rachel joined Laing Bennett in 2015, bringing over 15 years of local property expertise. Born and still living in the village of Elham, she offers deep local insight and a passion for the community. As Head of the Sales Department, Rachel carries out market appraisals, leads the sales team, and oversees the marketing of our properties. She is also an Associate Member of the National Association of Estate Agents (NAEA), reinforcing her professional knowledge and commitment.

Zoë Faiers

Sales Property Manager Zoë joined Laing Bennett in 2021 after spending 20 years raising her family, following earlier sales roles in retail and the wedding industry. A lifelong local, she brings strong community insight and excellent people skills to her role. Zoë works closely with applicants, using her local knowledge to guide conversations, arrange viewings, and help match buyers with the right homes—adding a warm, personal touch to every interaction.

Sharon Day

Sales Property Manager Sharon joined Laing Bennett in 2018, bringing extensive experience from estate agency and other service‑focused industries. Her professionalism and strong customer‑care skills make her a valuable member of the team. Sharon builds and maintains relationships with applicants, helping match them to suitable homes. She also conducts property viewings and negotiates sales, ensuring a smooth, supportive experience from first enquiry to agreed offer.

Julie Tyrrell, Ba(Hons)

Lettings Property Manager Julie joined Laing Bennett in 2016, bringing many years of experience in the local property industry. She manages our lettings portfolio, ensuring both landlords and tenants receive a smooth, professional service. Julie deals with every stage of the tenancy process - from viewings and applications through to moving in - while also coordinating repairs, maintenance, and routine property visits.
